Italian National Day at Castello Italia Recap
Italian Heritage Month kicked off on Sunday, May 29th at Casa Loma! CIBPA Toronto was proud to be part of the organizing committee for Italian National Day at Castello Italia, supporting Consulate General of Italy in Toronto and Liberty Entertainment Group. Over 4000 guests strolled throughout the castle sampling food from local Italian restaurants and vendors, as well as enjoying live entertainment and wine sampling. For the month of June inside Casa Loma, there were also special displays and videos highlighting Italian heritage. The event was a great success due to the generous donations and financial support from various businesses within the Italian community.

CIBPA "Espresso Cup" Golf Tournament 2016 Recap
The 64th Annual "Espresso Cup" Golf Tournament held on Thursday July 14, 2016, was a tremendous success with great golf, fun, weather and of course great food!
The tournament was held at one of Ontario's finest golf courses, Lionhead Golf Club & Conference Centre. Throughout the day, golfers were treated to a wide variety of Italian food---Spiducci on the bbq, arrancini, ice cream, cannoli, soppressata, espresso coffee, pizza, nutella, caprese, fruit and much more! A special thank you to our generous donors: Totera Meats, GiGi Importing, Pizza Nova, Lazio Bakery and Deli, Grande Cheese, Longo's, Faema, Camarras, Tim Hortons, byPeterandPauls, Active Green + Ross, Toronto Downtown Marriott Hotel, The Big Cannoli
CONGRATULATIONS to David Felice! David was the winner of the two round trip tickets to anywhere in North America thanks to our Title Sponsor, Air Canada.

2016-2017 SEASON
Join us as we welcome back friends and members for another exciting season! The dinner meeting will be held at the Old Mill, which has been recently acquired by long time CIBPA member and supporter, Frank De Luca.
The season kick off is a chance for members to reconnect over a great meal, an opportunity to build future business relationships and network with members of our business and professional community, welcome new members, listen to special guest speakers and most importantly, hear about the many events the CIBPA has planned for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.

CIBPA Education Foundation Awards Dinner(Thursday November 17, 2016)
Join us as deserving students selected by the CIBPA Education Foundation committee, chaired by Foundation President, Mr. Robert Sacco) are recognized for their academic achievements.
The goal of the CIBPA Education Foundation is to support the academic achievements of young Canadians of Italian heritage or in Italian studies.
The CIBPA EDUCATION FOUNDATION Bursary is open to full-time college and/or university students at the undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate levels who are Canadian citizens or Landed Immigrants permanently residing in Canada, and are of Italian origin. It also provides assistance for students who are not of Italian heritage, if they are pursuing curriculum majors in Italian studies.

CHIODO Family welcomes the newest family members
Proud Nonno and Nonna, Ralph and Rose Chiodo welcome their newest grandchildren Stella and Raffaele. Tiziano and Sabrina Marimpietri (daughter of Ralph and Rose) gave birth to premature twins back in February. After a lengthy stay in hospital, Stella and Raffaele are home with mom, dad and their very excited siblings, Emilia (2 years old) and Dante (4 years old). Best wishes to the Marimpietri and Chiodo family from the CIBPA.
One thing is for sure. Nonno Ralph makes sure all vehicles transporting his precious cargo are always fitted with Active Green + Ross Tires.
Teresa Cascioli receives 'Pugliese nel Mondo' Award in Italy
On June 25, 2016, Teresa Cascioli (author of M is for Money, CIBPA Member and past CIBPA Professional Excellence Award Recipient) travelled to her parent’s native Puglia to receive the “Pugliese Nel Mondo Award”. The award recognizes individuals from far and wide that have made a difference in their communities and through their areas of business with origins in Puglia. Congratulations Teresa!
