2026 Women in Leadership

CIBPA Toronto proudly marked another year of celebrating the remarkable achievements of women within the Italian-Canadian community at the 2026 Women in Leadership Event. This annual gathering continues to serve as a meaningful platform to honour the leadership, innovation, and impact of women across a diverse range of industries, while strengthening connections within our community.

This year, we were honoured to recognize Michela Di Mondo as the 2026 Woman of the Year, acknowledging her exceptional leadership and contributions to Canadian storytelling. Through her thoughtful perspective and strategic vision, Michela has played a significant role in shaping Canada's media landscape, amplifying authentic narratives and driving meaningful change within the industry.

The evening featured a compelling legal panel comprised of accomplished professionals from within the CIBPA network. The discussion offered valuable insight into the innovative thinking, lived experiences, and evolving roles of women across the legal profession and beyond, fostering a thoughtful and engaging dialogue among attendees.

CIBPA was also proud to recognize outstanding students from Bill Crothers Secondary School as recipients of the organization's Academic and Sport Awards, reaffirming its commitment to supporting emerging leaders and investing in the future of our community. In addition, the evening celebrated twelve exceptional 2026 Women in Leadership Champions, whose achievements exemplify excellence, resilience, and the values at the heart of this initiative. Their leadership continues to inspire both their peers and the next generation.

By bringing together women from a broad spectrum of industries, the Women in Leadership Event not only celebrates how far we have come, but also creates space for meaningful conversations about the path forward—reinforcing CIBPA's ongoing commitment to empowerment, mentorship, and community-building.
