2027 Voyage of Discovery — Applications Now Open!
The Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Toronto (CIBPA), in partnership with the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), invites eligible college and university students of Italian heritage to apply for the 2027 Ambassador Peter F. Secchia Voyage of Discovery.
This unique educational program offers students the opportunity to explore Italy's rich history, culture, and traditions through an immersive travel experience. It's a great opportunity to connect with your roots, discover new places, and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
Program Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a CIBPA Toronto student member. Not yet? Join today.
- Be enrolled as a full-time college or university student during the semester preciding the trip.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 23 at the time of travel.
- Demonstrate an interest in or commitment to Italian culture and heritage.
What's Included
The program covers round-trip fare from the U.S. to Italy, accommodations, all meals (unless noted on itinerary), ground transportation, guided tours and cultural activities.
Canadian participants are responsible for their own travel expenses to and from the designated U.S. departure airport.
2027 Travel Dates
- Session 1: Mid to late May 2027
- Session 2: Early June 2027
- Application Deadline: Sunday, January 31, 2027

Applicants will need to submit:
- Resume.
- Academic transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation from a professor or coach.
- A short testimonial video explaining why you should be selected for the program
