Appointment of Vice President and New Board Member

The Board of Directors of the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Toronto is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Roberta Iannacito-Provenzano as Vice President.

Dr. Provenzano currently serves as Provost and Vice President, Academic at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where she is also a Full Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. In her role, she serves as both the University's Chief Academic Officer and Chief Operating Officer. She was also the recipient of the 2023 CIBPA Toronto Professional Excellence Award.

Roberta has been a valued and dedicated member of our Board, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to the mission and values of CIBPA Toronto. Her leadership, collaborative approach, and deep engagement within our community have made a meaningful impact on the growth and vitality of our Association. In her new role as Vice President, she will work closely with the President and the Board to advance CIBPA Toronto's strategic objectives, strengthen member engagement, and promote business excellence within the Italian Canadian community.

We are also pleased to welcome Dr. Giuseppina (Pina) D'Agostino as a new Board Member.

Dr. D'Agostino is a renowned Canadian lawyer and legal scholar specializing in intellectual property law. She is a Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and recently served as Associate Vice President at York University. She is regularly consulted by federal and provincial governments and is a cited authority at the Supreme Court of Canada. A long‑time supporter of CIBPA Toronto and our 2024 Woman of the Year Award recipient, we are thrilled to have her join our Board.
