2025 Women in Leadership
The 2025 Women in Leadership Event showcased the power and potential of women in all aspects of leadership. Held at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex, this highly anticipated gathering brought together a remarkable group of individuals to honor the achievements and contributions of women who are breaking barriers and shaping the future in many different industries.
From the very beginning, the evening set an inspiring tone as Sabrina Marrelli, Vice President of CIBPA Toronto, took to the stage as Chair of the event. On behalf of the CIBPA Board of Directors, she welcomed an engaged and enthusiastic crowd, expressing how privileged they were to present an event dedicated to recognizing women who are not just leaders in their fields, but trailblazers in sectors that have long been male-dominated. It was an evening that celebrated not just their professional accomplishments, but their strength, resilience, and the many ways they are shaping the future.
This year's event featured a dynamic panel of women who shared their personal and professional experiences in the field of women's healthcare. The panelists, each a leader in their own right, spoke passionately about their work and how they have contributed to transforming healthcare for women. A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Woman of the Year award to Julie Di Lorenzo, the President of Mirabella Development Corporation. A highly respected leader in the real estate sector, Julie's accolades include the Order of Ontario and recognition as Italian Chamber of Commerce Businesswoman of the Year. Her dedication to leadership, mentorship, and her groundbreaking work in real estate were inspiring to all in attendance.
Andrea Trentadue, the beloved television host and journalist known for her work with CHIN Radio/TV, served as the event's Emcee. With her warm presence and engaging storytelling, Andrea kept the audience captivated as she led the evening's program, sharing insights from the panel and honoring the trailblazing women who were being celebrated that evening.

The evening also recognized the Next Generation in Leadership Award recipients, Ava Kypreos, Alexandra Philippou, and Domenica Vezos. These three young women have already proven themselves as leaders in their communities, demonstrating a commitment to social causes, academic excellence, and sportsmanship. Their involvement in initiatives like the Hygiene Drive for The Refuge Youth Shelter and the Encouragement Note Campaign show how the next generation is already stepping up to continue the work of those who have come before them.
