Castello Italia Recap
Italian Heritage Month kicked off Sunday, May 31st at Casa Loma! CIBPA Toronto was proud to be part of the organizing committee for Castello Italia, supporting Liberty Group. Guests strolled throughout the castle trying samplings from local Italian restaurants and vendors, as well as enjoying live entertainment and a wine garden. For the month of June inside Casa Loma, there were also special displays and videos highlighting Italian heritage.

Master Chef Recap
Our second MasterChef Italia event, held at Casa Loma on Thursday, June 25, was a perfect evening of freshly made samples and great company. Our chef's set up booths in the beautiful glass pavilion on the castle grounds and guests were able to stop by for a sample, then explore the gardens or take a seat and enjoy the food.
The mouthwatering menu included Mediterranean quinoa salad from Fina Scroppo, chef and author of The Healthy Italian, lobster ravioli from Saverio Macri, Executive Chef at Cibo Wine Bar, dark chocolate truffles from partner chefs, Julie Miguel (MasterChef Canada contestant) and Irene Matys, a huge wheel of grana padano from Grande Cheese, "flying squid" with a vesuvio tomato sauce from Chef Nino Cioffi of Sorrento North Ristorante and gnocchi with truffles from Avlyn Gardens Ristorante.

Breakfast with Minister of Finance Joe Oliver Recap
We were pleased to once again host our Federal Minister of Finance, the Honourable Joe Oliver on Thursday, July 2. Minister Oliver joined us for an intimate breakfast and presentation where he gave an economic update. During his presentation the minister discussed Canadian-Italian relations, this year's budget, the current economy and transit.

CIBPA "Espresso Cup" Golf Tournament 2015 Recap
The 63rd annual "Espresso Cup" Golf Tournament held on Thursday July 16, 2015, was a tremendous success with great golf, fun, weather and of course great food!
The tournament was held at one of Ontario's finest golf courses, Lionhead Golf Club & Conference Centre. Throughout the day, golfers were treated to a wide variety of Italian food---Spieducci and barese sausage on the bbq, porchetta, ice cream, espresso coffee, pizza, nutella, caprese, fruit and much more! a special thank you to our generous sponsors: Totera Meats, GiGi Importing, Pizza Nova, Lazio Bakery and Deli, Grande Cheese, Longo's, Faema.Thank you to all our generous donors.
Congratulations to Tony Zitoli! Tony was the winner of the two round trip tickets to anywhere in North America thanks to our Title Sponsor, Air Canada. Golfers also had the opportunity to win a Fiat 500 in our HOLE IN ONE challenge, sponsored by Peel Chrysler and Active Green & Ross. better luck next year!

CIBPA Season Kick Off and Networking Event (Thursday October 8, 2015)

CIBPA Education Foundation Awards Dinner (Thursday October 22, 2015)
Join us as deserving students selected by the CIBPA Education Foundation committee, chaired by Foundation President, Mr. Robert Sacco) are recognized for their academic achievements. REGISTER FOR THE EVENT.
The goal of the CIBPA Education Foundation is to support the academic achievements of young Canadians of Italian heritage or in Italian studies.
The CIBPA EDUCATION FOUNDATION Bursary is open to full-time college and/or university students at the undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate levels who are Canadian citizens or Landed Immigrant
s permanently residing in Canada, and are of Italian origin. It also provides assistance for students who are not of Italian heritage, if they are pursuing curriculum majors in Italian studies.

The Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association (CIBPA) of Toronto’s Awards of Excellence were established to recognize and pay tribute to those individuals in the community who continue to make a difference in their professional fields.
The recipients of the 2015 Awards of Excellence will be honored at the 63rd Annual President’s Ball on Saturday November 7th 2015 at The Universal EventSpace, Vaughan, Ontario.
