Post-Budget Breakfast with Ontario's Minister of Finance

CIBPA Toronto brought together business and community leaders for a focused discussion on Ontario's 2026 Budget at its Post-Budget Breakfast, featuring Ontario's Minister of Finance, the Honourable Peter Bethlenfalvy.
Presented in partnership with MPP Michelle Cooper, the event welcomed members, partners, and stakeholders for direct discussion on Ontario's economic outlook, business competitiveness, and the priorities shaping the province's evolving business environment.
The discussion addressed the current economic landscape and the pressures organizations face to scale efficiently while maintaining competitiveness. In his remarks, Minister Bethlenfalvy outlined several measures aimed at strengthening Ontario's business climate and reducing the cost of doing business.
Key initiatives highlighted included a reduction of over 30 percent to the small business corporate income tax rate, the expansion of the Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit, and enhancements to the HST New Housing Rebate. These measures are intended to reduce costs, support innovation, and strengthen Ontario's competitiveness.
The conversation also provided an opportunity for direct engagement between attendees and the Minister, allowing for meaningful dialogue on the implications of the 2026 Budget across sectors.
